I really like how the sun beams shine toward the windmill in this shot. The sky and clouds were just wonderful on this day making this shot even more spectacular. This windmill provides electricity for the Horrocks Farm Market in Lansing Michigan.

Here is my submission for this week's photo challenge "Time Piece" with fellow blogger Kevin. I captured this in the back yard while at a pool party this weekend. All week I took photos of my wrist, my watch, threw my watch into the air, but none of them were as interesting as this sun dial. When I saw it I was glad that the camera was at my side. Clouds and sun are easy targets for a photographer, but most require being in the right place at the right time with your camera. This was one of those situations. Later this same evening I missed an amazingly lit auburn sky, but I think this was better.

The only good part about waking up early is the sunrise (with some exception for coffee and eggs.) This morning's sunrise was a delight. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
