The other day I received a tweet from @starmode6 letting me know about the grand opening of the Checkers in Lake Orion. I drove by there today for lunch and the place was packed! I'm so happy to see new business arrive in Lake Orion and was happy to order a number 10 for lunch. The fries were delicious. Seriously. I need to do a P90x workout to get rid of them, but they were so worth it. Here's my photo essay from the visit today.
Took a visit/location scout to the Pine Knob Mansion today and I'm blown away by this place's beauty. My camera will be busy at this place in a few days and I wanted to get an idea of what's it has to offer photographically. All I can say is it's going to be all kinds of awesome!

Today I did some location scouting for a wedding coming up in a couple weeks at the Paint Creek Country Club. This place is beautiful and I already saw about 30 shots that I want to capture at this wedding. Here's a snapshot that I captured with my new Kodak video camera. I loved the way the clouds were in the sky today and it really made the windows pop.
This covered bridge has a speed limit of 7 miles per hour. Do you know how tough it is to set your vehicle speed to 7mph?
I saw this picture about 10 years ago while in Frankenmuth and I was ecstatic when Christine and Adam were willing to go there for their engagement session. We had a great time and captured some amazing photographs. There were about a million more photos that I wanted to take, but 2 hours is more than enough time to ask a couple to smile or look sexy. I could photograph about 100 engagement sessions in this city and have 100 unique perspectives here. It was beautiful and I can't wait for the next session there.
In the winter time there are a few less people here, and it's makes for a much easier time photographing this building. Taken on last weekend's engagement session.

I've been wanting to photograph an engagement session in downtown Clarkston Michigan for quite some time now. It's quaint architecture and beautiful park is a perfect setting for photographing two happy people in love.
