Ducks are happy here in Lake Orion

It's been raining a lot here in Lake Orion. I think this post from my twitter friend @slothandglutton said it best. "Another perfect day in Lake Orion, Michigan...if you're a DUCK!!" I took this photo after photographing yesterday's very raining baseball game. Baseball photos to come soon, but for now.....Here's a duck.

Barn in the Distance

Had to turn the car around for this one.  The pond looked like glass, and the framing was perfect.  Another instance of drive by shooting for me.

Gray's Anatomy

Old book shelves are a fun place to browse for photo opportunities. This book struck my eye while at the Pine Knob Mansion yesterday. I never realized the correlation between this book and the television show Grey's Anatomy.

Pine Knob Mansion

Took a visit/location scout to the Pine Knob Mansion today and I'm blown away by this place's beauty. My camera will be busy at this place in a few days and I wanted to get an idea of what's it has to offer photographically.  All I can say is it's going to be all kinds of awesome!
