Bastone Drinks For Two

The one shot that I visioned in my head before we arrived at Bastone's Brewery.  I was challenging myself with using off camera flash.  

Low Light Challenge

I learned a lot during this photo shoot.  I learned to look for light first.  This was my attempt after trying to let the flash do all the work. Taken at Bastone brewery in downtown Royal Oak, Michigan

Rear Curtain Riding

This couple wanted pictures of themselves on this bike because they love riding together.  As soon as they mentioned it I thought of this idea.  I set the camera to 1/10 of a second and set the flash to fire at the end of the exposure (rear curtain.)  Then I moved the camera as I opened the shutter and poof, this gem of a photo came out.  I love how the lights in the background streak across the frame while the camera's flash stops the couple in motion so that they are in focus.  If your camera has a rear sync function I highly suggest messing around with it.

Party was just getting started

The last shot from last weekends wedding in Metamora. This is how I saw the reception as I walked to my car. My legs were exhausted, my body was tired, but my mind was still racing from all the adrenaline of the day. Wow what a lot of fun.  View the rest of the wedding photos here.

Tonight's Sky

Tonight's Sky was amazing. It made the green grass really saturated to the human eye and all of the colors were rich. It lit up the area with an even light that caused my neighbors to come out and take a look.

After the game

This was a shot that I saw aftet the game ended lady night. I know that the best camera is the one you have with you. I was kicking myself for not bringing a good camera, because this would have been amazing. However, the iPhone still did a good job capturing my vision.

Tiger Baseball

Enjoying the game with my kids tonight. While I took this I think the Tigers scored another run against the Orioles.
