Holland Michigan Tulip Festival
Tulips everywhere. My next few posts will involve these flowers since it is that time of the year. I went on a photo walk today with Kevin trying to capture some of this festival. This was one of my first shots today.

Hi
ReplyDeleteSomewhere on a blogspot page I read that you visited the Tulip Time klompendancing.
Did you ever see any dancer loose or break one of his/her klompen? I am from Holland, Europe and I collect everything that has to do with Dutch klompen. I still miss een pic of a dancer losing/breaking a clog
Thanks Anne. I got a picture of a klompen that was broken, but I did not capture it in action. I also had some good captures of the dancers feet. I'll post those pictures very soon. Stay tuned.
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie,
ReplyDeleteAs a former Klompendancer here in Holland, MI. I can tell you that shoes rarely fly off like they used to years ago. Dancers get in big trouble if this happens now. I did crack one shoe and break off the other during our last dress rehearsal for Tulip Time when I was in high school. I wore my 25 year old pair of clogs for this year's Kinder parade, 2008.
