I've been working this image during the last two engagement sessions. I think having the couple stand much further away from the fountain helps with the shot.

Dragging the Shutter

Here's a shot I have been wanting to get for a while. It's a "dragging the shutter" shot where Tom and Jessica stayed real still for me allowing me to keep the shutter open for a bit longer than normal. It gives a nice sense of motion to the photo in contrast with the stillness of the subject.

It's moments like this that make me glad to be a photographer. Capturing this image was a complete joy and I really love the result.

On a recent review of my wedding porfolio I came across this wonderful moment form last year, and I thought I would share with you blog readers. The bride and groom were so giddy and happy to be married on this day that photos like this were a joy to capture.
