Learning to see light

Today I started to look for light. I mean really look for light. How does it fall in each direction? Where is the best illumination of the subject and from what angle? It was an eye opening experience. I thought I knew before, but today was like a gift I'm so thankful for. Here's a water fountain in Kansas City.

NKC Crossfit

I'm in Kansas City for the week and this Crossfit gym was right around the corner from my hotel so I had to get a workout in. I got to meet Zach and Eric of NKC Crossfit and they even gave me a tshirt. It was a good workout but the whole time the sun was setting and I was thinking about the photos I was missing during the workout. At the end I captured this gem of their gym and the sun setting in the background. I'm glad I waited to capture the sunset after the WOD.
