The fence caught my eye at first. Had to turn around for this shot. This is the road to someone's home, and I wonder what the house looked like.

Another one of those photos that I store in my photo memory bank for future use. I may see something similar in the future when on a portrait shoot and I will know how to use it to my advantage.

Location Scouting for senior pictures

I came accross this fence when location scouting for a senior picture session. I love how the sunset was iluminating the fence on this one.

I liked how the flowers looked through the fence. I took a few shots from different angles, and this one I was most happy with. The flowers seem to pop out at you and the green adds a great depth. The fence could have been more in focus, however I like the look seen here.

Seems like most of my shots are taken at sunset these days, mainly because I'm currently a natural light photographer (That's another way of saying that I don't have an external flash.) I really enjoy the challenge of using available light to it's fullest, and here was one example of that. The sun was setting and the shadows from this fence were really great.

If it needs a sign

Today was a long day of driving and no photo taking for Eddie. Stuck in a lot of snow and no opportunities to explore my craft of photography; I chose this photo as a representation of nostalgia because it was taken a month ago (a violation of my blog rules requiring photos taken within a week,) and the sign does appear to be old too. I took this shot on Magazine street in New Orleans on a terrific walk exploring the city. No dog was to be found when this shot was taken, but maybe the sign is a ruse.
