I was able to capture every member of my family in this shot (except for myself.) I seem to be in few of the family photos since I'm usually behind the camera.

Lifestyle Family Session

Capturing stunning photographs at sunset in the month of May means that it's going to be a bit cold. Despite the cool temp we were able to get some stunning photographs this evening. Here are just a few of my favorites from tonight.

Fall Color Portrait Session Sneak Peak

We could not have asked for better weather yesterday. The fall colors were in full swing, the sun was just right, and the water was not too cold on the photographer (I had to get my feet wet for a couple shots.) Here's a sneak peak from yesterday's photo session.

The girls started off the photo shoot with a few poses in the grass. Here's a shot of the ladies smiling (notice the missing tooth.)

This brick wall had some great light and was a terrific location for some individual portraits.

Don't worry mom, I got a picture of him smiling too. I like the serious look he gave me here.

I saved my favorite shot for last. I love everything about this next shot from the lighting to the composition to the sense of happiness in Mom and Dad's faces.

Nana and her babies

This one made me cry when I took it and even more when I saw it on the screen. Being able to capture moments like this is why I am a photographer and why I absolutely love this craft.

September Maternity Session

Today I had the great pleasure of capturing a moment in time for Kathy and her beautiful family before the arrival of their baby in November. We spent about an hour today capturing this maternity session, and we were able to accomplish a lot in that amount of time.

And now for the all important belly shot:

Hey look, someone is going to be a big brother soon.

This next shot had to be done today. The obligatory hands on belly shot is a must have for any parents to be.

I had about 3 seconds to capture this next gem, for he was on the move and ready to get as far away from the camera as possible. I love how the sun illuminates his natural curly hair as he ponders something important like "how to run away from the guy with a camera."

Baby Reese Portrait Session

Meet baby Reese, a 5 month old that seems to be enjoying life so far. I went to her home this weekend for a portrait session, and am pleasantly surprised with the results. In this first shot she shows how well her parents have been working on those strength and conditioning skills by holding her head up high.

After working on holding her head up, she showed us her smile.

I asked Mom and Dad to hold her hands for this shot, and it is my absolute favorite shot from the day.

Ok, maybe this next one is my favorite. Mom and baby showing me their supermodel pose.

I can't thank this family enough for allowing me to capture this moment in Reese' life. It was really a pleasure.

Wink and a Smile

Today's portrait session with Will and Catherine was really terrific. Capturing two youngsters on camera is quite a challenge because they do what they want to do. Sometimes you can convince them to pose for gummy bears, but for the most part they call the shots. After reviewing today's shoot I'm extremely happy with the results.

Here's one of my favorites of Will from today. He has the most infectious laugh, it just took a few minutes for him to warm up after his nap.

Catherine was quite photogenic and had about a million different faces. Sometimes that face included the most amazing smile (as seen below.)
