Lake Orion vs Royal Oak 2008

Wow, what a game! Lake Orion took charge this week against Royal Oak not allowing them to score at ALL. I had the privilege yet again to be on the sidelines photographing this event, and I must say it is a whole lot of fun. Everything was awesome from the smell of popcorn from the stands, to the smell of the players near me (ok the smell of the players I could do without.) The theme for today's game that I used when focusing my photographic eye was the words "high five." In some way I was hoping to capture those "hi fives", chest bumps, and pats on the back that occurred during the game as a form of celebration or encouragement. These shots tell that story in many forms.

This next shot is not necessarily a high five, it's an interception. It's a high-five with the football in some ways.

Sometimes you can time a shot just right. I really love how the cheerleader is in the air on as I was trying to take a shot of the lined-up cones.

He finally got a name on the back of his shoulders. Great job tonight Shawn.

There were lots of smiles at the game last night (at least if you were wearing Green and White.)
