After the game

This was a shot that I saw aftet the game ended lady night. I know that the best camera is the one you have with you. I was kicking myself for not bringing a good camera, because this would have been amazing. However, the iPhone still did a good job capturing my vision.

Update: Here's a version of the photo with some of the noise reduced.

Taking a chance

I696 Driving
Taking a Chance

This shot was taken while driving on I696 near Detroit. I took a chance and took a shot while going through this lighted tunnel. Usually these shots don't come out because you're driving, not looking through the viewvinder, and not focusing. This image was too amazing when i saw it on the computer. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Orion Cover

Orion Cover, originally uploaded by edwardjohnphotography.

I froze taking this photo, but it was well worth it. A picture of this light structure is on the cover of coffee table book, but I like my version better. Shot tripod mounted with Nikkor 18-55mm lens at 1/30 sec - F/11. ISO 200. I'm sure many people have taken pictures of this thing head on with someone standing under it (I know because I have,) but I prefer to take different views of an object to get a different perspective. Remember the movie Dead Poets Society where Robin Williams had all of the kids stand on their desks? Well that's the idea, take a look at things in a different way.
