Yellow Fall

Fall Channel
Taken during an engagement session in Metamora Michigan. The colors were so beautiful that day and the clouds were overhead giving a nice softbox distributing the light everywhere nice and evenly.

End of a season

He didn't want his picture taken at the end of the game. Understandable after a tough loss in the playoffs. So instead of trying to capture a photo of him on the field I ran up the stands and waited a few moments until he began his long walk to the bus. The bus ride on the way home from a tough game is quiet, really quiet, uncomfortably quiet, and I can only imagine what it was like on the bus on this night. He was the last one on the file, and the last one on the bus.  It was a great season and there will be more to come.

Borrowed Fish Eye Lens

I fell in love with a lens today. It will be a while before I get one of these babies, but it will be well worth it. I had a lot of fun playing with perspectives and distorted views.

Macro Ring Shot

Borrowed Macro

I borrowed this macro lens today to see if it is something I would want to use for wedding ring photos. It's a nice lens.  Think I'll be saving my pennies for this one.

Stream - Inventive Title, I know

Lately I have only been posting pictures from my iPhone, but this is where I am right now. I have been paying special attention to composition and I feel that the iPhone limits me to just two things 1. composition 2. Lighting. Those are two of the most important aspects of photography and I think these images are showing my progress with it.

Yet another sunset iPhone Photo

Lately I have been experimenting with the iPhone camera more and more. I've been concentrating on really watching light and how it falls on things. You sure need to be creative when the only control you have is a shutter release button.
